SVIM 2027 is jointly organized for the seventh consecutive year by the Swedish Association of Infectious Diseases, the Swedish Association of Infectious Nurses, and three microbiology associations: the Association for Clinical Microbiology, the Swedish Society for Microbiology, and the Swedish Association for Microbiology. The 2027 host and local organizer is the Department of Infectious Diseases and the Department of Clinical Microbiology at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö/Lund
This year’s meeting will take place at the Malmö Live, 25 –28 May 2026.
The conference, designed for healthcare professionals, provides a valuable forum for exchange across disciplines, bringing together physicians, nurses, biomedical scientists, microbiologists, molecular biologists, researchers, and representatives from the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries. The scientific program will offer sessions relevant to all professional groups, scheduled throughout the meeting from Tuesday to Friday.
The offical conference language is Swedish, however some of the sessions will be given in English.
